The Benefits of Gratitude
Enhance ones’ life, with extra aliveness, love joy and gratitude

Once upon a time, our primitive ancestors were much more adapt at releasing stress than we are in these modern times. There was the instinctual and spontaneous reaction of ‘fight and flight’ and the instant sense of reward after escaping from eminent danger.
Yet, as we have evolved, life has become much more complex, and so too has the way that we handle stress. People try to cope in many different ways, often with indulging in a variety of comforts such as entertainment, food, alcohol, sex and drugs.

Add Spa Elements to Your Home
How to Render Your Home as Relaxing as a Spa
When it comes to home spa design, some key factors are elements that soothe the senses: lighting, scent and sound. By making a few little adjustments in your home, you can render it just as relaxing–if not more so–than a professional spa!
* Lighting
The first trick in home spa design is subdued lighting. Too often, our homes are outfitted with bright, harsh overhead lighting. This is especially true of overhead fluorescent light fixtures; their lighting is glaring, unnatural and downright unflattering. Some people are even highly sensitive to fluorescent lighting; it causes them stress or upset. Try to completely avoid overhead fluorescent lighting except in garages or other utility areas.

Hatha Yoga & Spiritual Growth
Hatha Yoga Induces Spiritual Growth
By: Javier Fuller
What is Hatha Yoga? Most emphatically, its concern is mainly to tame the body for its onward spiritual growth.
If it is only the body aspect, is the God given/God-designed body imperfect for commencing and conducting spiritual disciplines? Those who disown Hatha Yoga and are not overawed by its practice and the results that it gives, believe so. According to them the practice of Hatha Yoga is not necessary for the real spiritual growth.
Animated yoga postures for stress relief, breathing exercises, asana and pranayama– all form part of Hatha Yoga.

Analyzing and Interpreting Your Dreams
By: Jenny Gill
Do you dream when you sleep? Have you ever wondered what your dreams may mean? Well the meanings of dreams are as personal and unique as the people who dream them. No one interpretation, no matter how universal, will apply to every dream, dream symbol or dream situation.

Relaxation Techniques
Soothing Relaxation Techniques to Tame Your Stress
Two of the easiest and most potent relaxation techniques you can practice is deep breathing and meditation. And the wonderful thing is, these relaxation techniques can be done in mere minutes, absolutely anywhere.
Relax with Deep Breathing
The first relaxation technique is a deep breathing exercise that can be done in less than one minute.
Place the tip of your tongue at the top edge of your upper front teeth, where your teeth meet your gums. When you inhale, practice what’s called belly breathing. Instead of scrunching your shoulders up around your neck when you inhale, which increases shoulder and neck tension, leave them still. Instead, push your belly outward while you’re inhaling, as if it’s a big balloon filling with air.
Inhale to the count of four. Hold it to the count of seven. Exhale through your mouth to the count of eight; part your lips, leaving your tongue at the top edge of your upper teeth, and push all the air out of your lungs. This encourages fresh air to reach the very bottom of your lungs, pushes out all the stale air. You may experience very slight lightheadedness and even euphoria when conducting this simple relaxation technique.
You can practice deep breathing several times a day: while driving, working or doing household chores. This relaxation technique is also particularly effective when someone dumps an unexpected load of stress right over your head, whether it’s your boss or your child.
Deep breathing is also very helpful in the face of anger, especially if you can retreat to another room; if an annoying co-worker has done it again, simply pay a visit to the restroom and breathe. You’ll feel better in minutes–literally!
Meditate Your Way to a Relaxed State
As for meditation, we’ve heard all the wonders about this relaxation technique lowering heart rate, alleviating stress and even helping patients with long-term diseases. But we just can’t manage to work in 10 minutes of meditation a day into our busy lives! With work, children and tending to domestic duties, it’s near impossible. So just do meditation on the go!
