The Peter Thomas Roth Clinical Skin Care Company was born of one man’s mission to effectively treat his own sun spots, fine lines and acne.
That mission was enhanced by Peter Thomas Roth also being the descendant of Hungarian spa hotel owners. Skin care is an integral component of Peter’s heritage. His family owned and operated two spa hotels in Hungary in the late 1800s and early 1900s; one at Lake Balaton, the other, in Tourna.
Peter Thomas Roth improved the time-honored curative formulas of Thermal Springs minerals and muds, blending them with contemporary skin care technology and ingredients. This marriage of Thermal Springs healing properties for particular medical conditions with 21st century skin care launched the Peter Thomas Roth line in 1993.
