Can Massage Make You Look Years Younger?

I’m constantly suprised at how many people I meet that have never received a professional massage before. It’s easy to forget that not so many years ago,that was my reality.
One day on a trip to Thailand, I walked by a shop and saw a sign that said — “Oil Massage — 200 baht for 1-1/2 hours”.(about $5)
My sore body walked in and the next thing I know I was enjoying one of the most pleasurable expriences of my life. I walked out of the shop an hour and a half later in total bliss.
During my 4 month Thailand adventure I had about 50 massages! All different kinds: thai massage, swedish style, hot stones, shiatsu… My whole experience of life changed. It’s hard to describe but it’s like I became a lot lighter.
It’s kinda like the story of the frog in the well. A well-frog is hanging out one day when an ocean frog comes and says hi. The well-frog asks “how big is the ocean?
As big as my well?” The ocean-frog just laughs. The well-frog asks again “Is it twice as big as my well?” —You get the point!
Back to the lighter and lighter, I could feel on an energetic level that the massages were releasing trapped energy that was in my body in the form of stress, anxiety, contraction, etc.
I started to feel energy through the palms of my hands and sometimes my whole body. The plants and trees and people all had different energetic qualities that I could feel…
This experience deepened over the next few years and then one day after receiving my first Hawai’ian LomiLomi Massage, I decided to learn to share this experience with others.
Through amazing grace, I got to learn from some Hawaiian Elders and Hawai’ian Master Healers. They taught me special things that have been passed down from generation to generation for a long time.
After years of practicing massage with regular clients, I noticed that many people aged around 35 and up - would look years younger after just a few months of regular massage. (Especially Women)
It was explained to me in Hawaii that the massage removes “stagnant energy” that’s trapped in the body. A large component of this stagnant energy is Old Emotions.
When we have a fear thought for example, our bodies tighten up and contract. Fear thoughts with a large amount of energy invested in them create illness in the body. Watch your own experience closely and you will feel that this is true. The next time you have a really strong fear-based thought, notice how your body feels…
Many Healers feel that these “old emotional energies” are causing and contributing to cancer. They go as far as saying that certain types of cancer are caused by specific emotions that are located in specific spots in the body.
This feels true in my experience. For people with a high level of stagnant energy I recommend trying some different therapies like: Rebirthing, Catharsis,Dynamic Meditation.
I personally underwent a powerful toltec practice called “Recapitulation” where I “relived” and processed trapped energy from the past. It was extremely helpful. I could literally feel waves of stagnant energy leaving my body and it made me feel so much lighter.
If you want to look younger, do it the natural way and be vibrant. Seriously, popping pills doesn’t do it. The pills have so many harmful side effects, for most - “quickfix” solutions are followed by years of side effects when in just a few months with a bit of effort and intention you can be naturally vibrant.
I personally don’t know any vibrant people that are avid pill-poppers! There is a time and a place for an aspirin, don’t get me wrong, but check out the Top 10 Pharmaceutical Companies sales stats from last year. hello? Yes, people are depressed! Admitting it is a good first step.
Now, Instead of “numbing out” and running away from this depression (which is a form of stagnant energy) take some active steps to get rid of it for good. If not now, when? The following are some suggestions for increased vibrancy…
* If you want to look younger and be more vibrant I suggest that you: Eat Healthy (listen to your body, not your emotions), Love Yourself (if you don’t - why would anyone else?), Spend Time In Nature (this fills you up with positive energy, just like good food), Do Yoga
* Get Massaged - Dance (especially if its in your kitchen), Avoid People and situations that drain your energy & Put The Majority Of Your Attention On What You Love.
(If you are currently taking perscription drugs you may want to check with your doctor before changing your routine to make sure that there are no complications with your perscription)
